SOME MEMBERS & OFFICIALS OF ISHWARDI UPAZILA BRANCH OF “LOKOJO SANSKRITIK SANGATHAN” IN ATRAI UPAZILA OF NAOGAON DISTRICT

July 6, 2017.

In the rural environment, it is not always an opportunity to be so close to nature. Again, despite being so close to nature, the feeling of being united with nature may not always be the same. After coming to Atrai Upazila of Naogaon district, some members of the “Lokojo Sanskritik Sangathan” of Ishwardi Upazila branch and some responsible people have returned with some good feelings, some perception about life.

They have written some information about various aspects of some local people of Naogaon, who are involved in the practice of folk culture & about their daily life experience.

As I was leaving, I was reminding the words of the poet “Tagore” again and again:

In English (translation not mine), it reads something like:
I travelled miles, for many a year,
Spent riches, in lands afar,
I’ve gone to see the mountains, the oceans I’ve been to view.
But I haven’t seen with these eyes
What two steps from my home lies
On a sheaf of paddy grain, a glistening drop of dew.
– Rabindranath Thakur (Collected from Sphulinga )
